When giving suspension or liquid medicines, use the dosage cup enclosed in the package or a syringe ||Don't ever be afraid to ask for help from a friend or relative. Time away will let you recharge. ||In case of eczema, use mild, unscented body and laundry soaps. Pat baby's skin dry; don't rub ||Always check the water temperature with your hand before bathing your baby. Be sure the room is comfortably warm, too ||Expressing milk should be painless. If it hurts, stop. ||Use each feeding as an opportunity to build your newborn's sense of security, trust and comfort. ||Ask your baby's doctor about vitamin D supplements for the baby, especially if you're breast-feeding ||Try to keep other elements of your baby's routine as normal as possible during the strike. ||Use a firm mattress and avoid placing your baby on thick, fluffy padding that may interfere with breathing if your baby's face presses against it ||Plan for regular family meals. Enjoy being together as a family and give a chance for everyone to decompress from the day ||

If the child is having a balanced diet, healthy water to drink as described under the same section, he should not be in need of extra vitamins or minerals. One important exception is vitamin D. Our bodies naturally acquire vitamin D from exposure to the direct sun light. If your child is not adequately exposed to the sunlight than he/she will need vitamin D supplementation of at least 200 Units/day.
