As a new mommy, sleep when your baby sleeps. Silence your phone and ignore the dishes in the sink ||Try to develop passions outside of work. Don't define yourself by your job, and have the courage to be imperfect. ||Your toddler may be clumsy simply due to her trials to master so many new physical skills at the same time. The more active she is, the more likely she will drop things, run into things, or fall down. ||Always check the water temperature with your hand before bathing your baby. Be sure the room is comfortably warm, too ||Presumably, your baby won't recall events from his life before age 3. Still, these early experiences outline his vision of the world ||Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||Put a photo of a face – yours – on the side of the cot for your baby to look at. Human faces fascinate babies ||Proper weight gain is the sign that your baby is having enough milk. Not crying and not comparing with other kids ||Don't let your baby nap in the car seat after you're home as a substitute for crib since it's harder for young babies to breathe in that position. ||Breastfeeding releases Oxytocin which causes contractions of the uterus, helping to stop hemorrhage and initiating weight loss ||

Sessions will be held by Mrs. Sherine Khalil, General Psychology Specialist, at our Mohandessin branch. Each session lasts for 45 minutes.

What do these sessions cover?

  • Counseling children, adolescents and parents; providing support and guidance in relational, academic, emotional and personal areas.
  • Observing children and identifying those with specific challenges (hx of abuse, anxieties, ADHD).
  • Planning and implementing intervention programs both on individual and group level.
  • Counseling teachers of students with challenging behaviors.
  • Assessment of children's abilities and personality traits.
  • Integration of children with disabilities into main stream classes.
  • Training teachers on child development, class management and other related topics.

Activities are available in Arabic, English and German languages.
